This is a handmade figurine of Lord Ganesha made in the age-old technique of metal casting, known as Dhokra.
Who doesn’t know about the 'Dancing Girl' bronze sculpture which was found in Mohenjo-Daro, the great city of the Indus Valley Civilisation. That iconic piece was made using the same method. The technique of making Dhokra art is said to have originated there, more than 4000 years ago.
For thousands of years, tribes stretching across the central belt of India have been using the same wax metal casting method to produce stunning pieces of art.
This Dhokra Ganesha is a piece of decor that will be a conversation starter and is also a unique gift to give.
